Veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war Oleg Simoroz, who voluntarily mobilized to the 112th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, refuted the statement of former player of Kyiv’s “Dynamo” and the Ukrainian national team Oleksandr Aliyev that he allegedly serves in the 129th Battalion of the 112th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Oleg Simoroz“I am forced to respond since false information from the scandalous former football player of Kyiv’s ‘Dynamo’ Oleksandr Aliyev is now being widely spread, which may harm the reputation of my brigade.
All of us know Oleksandr Aliyev well for his low level of intellect and alcoholism. In the first days of the full-scale invasion, Aliyev claimed that he voluntarily joined the territorial defense of Kyiv. He patrolled the streets of Obolon and did not take part in combat operations. But that did not stop him from obtaining the status of a combatant through the command of the Territorial Defense Forces in bypassing the brigade...
And now Aliyev has decided to continue his nonsense; in an interview with Slava Dyomin, he stated that he serves in the 129th Battalion of the 112th Brigade and is a serviceman.
I must refute this outrageous lie. Because I know this battalion of our brigade; these are heroic guys who have made a name for themselves in battles, many of whom have perished, and I cannot calmly watch this drunkard try to tarnish their name.
Oleksandr Aliyev has never served as a serviceman in the 129th Battalion of the 112th Brigade, nor in any of our other regular units.
He hung around in the DFTG No. 35, which is subordinate to our brigade, but the participants of this formation do not have the official status of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, unlike our regular battalions, namely the military of the 129th Battalion. I think it is unnecessary to explain how a combat brigade differs from a DFTG in 2025.
The command of this DFTG allowed Aliyev to calmly play football, attend the VIP lounge of the ‘Dynamo’ stadium, and drink in restaurants, well, in short, all the “hardships of military service” during martial law.
Aliyev also lied about how he “came under fire in Obolon” and how he has to “go liberate Kharkiv region.” By the way, his photos from the Donbas were taken during “volunteer trips,” where he had no military tasks.
In April 2023, Aliyev, by ingratiating himself with the DFTG, ignored a summons from the Obolon TCK, as he was supposed to be officially mobilized into the regular military, but he used connections and, of course, was not mobilized anywhere.
Well, in April of this year, I think you saw how the patrol police laid this “warrior” face down on the pavement for resisting and signs of drunkenness; by the way, Aliyev refused to undergo a sobriety test, which under Ukrainian legislation automatically recognizes him as guilty. Well, you understand, this is such a “service in the battalion,” drunk on a Gelyk...
And I would not have written this post even without looking at the blatant nonsense about how he “burned in the tank,” but… But when a buddy starts to believe in himself a little and says he “serves” somewhere, that’s already crossing the line considering that many sports journalists have placed him as an example to others in their materials. And first of all, this is disrespect and humiliation to those guys in the territorial defense who sit in trenches for months and give their lives and health for such liars.
In general, I am not hearing for the first time stories about how the “elite” hide in the rear DFTGs and get out of conscription. I will open a secret to Mr. Aliyev that serving in restaurants does not exempt from mobilization, such is the injustice… Warm greetings to the TCK!” - Simoroz wrote on his Facebook page.
