The head coach of Lviv’s “Karpaty” Vladislav Lupashko stated about the "over-motivation" of "Zorya" in the match between these teams (1:2) in the last round of the Ukrainian championship.
Vladislav Lupashko— We saw that the Lugansk team was overly motivated. We must focus on our game. I often told the players that we should not care about how our opponent plays. We need to dictate our own rules. Today, I was not upset by the factor of not qualifying for the European cups, but by the game itself. We could have confidently closed the first half. We created many chances to win the match. I do not know what this is connected with. Perhaps it’s anxiety. Over time, there will be less of this.
If we look soberly at the situation, we did not need European cups this season. We are not at that stage yet. But I understand how important it was for the fans. This was the main motivation. We did everything to qualify for the European cups. Unfortunately, it turned out as it did.
We have an important conversation with the management regarding the future ahead. There is no clarity about the situation with the loaned players. So yes. Today we are upset, but I think the fans should have an optimistic mindset. We are on the right path. We have taken a huge step. There are now many different opinions in the media space. The club management needs to understand what it wants before inviting a specialist. Our football lacks consistency. This is a problem. Our place in the standings is primarily the merit of the whole club. The development of youth, transfer policy — this is very important, — said Lupashko.
