According to Sport.ua, the negotiations of the "miners" with the Portuguese were unsuccessful. The coach of "Dunkerque" refused to move to Ukraine, making it clear that he intends to stay in Europe.

After that, "Shakhtar" intensified negotiations with Arda Turan, and according to insider Fabrizio Romano, has already signed a two-year labor contract with the former coach of "Eyupspor".

Recall that immediately after the end of the 2024/25 season in the Ukrainian championship, "Shakhtar" dismissed the Bosnian coach Marinko Pušić from his position.
