The Ukrainian Premier League summarized the results of the 30th round of the Ukrainian championship, matches of which took place last weekend.
The selection of the best was traditionally conducted through a survey of representatives of Ukrainian sports publications. Each respondent named a trio of candidates for the coach of the round, a quintet of candidates for the player of the round, and also formed their version of the symbolic team of the round.
The best coach of the 30th round was recognized by a group of 35 experts as Mladen Bartulović. He led “Zorya” to a come-from-behind away victory against “Karpaty” (3:1), who at that moment still had chances for a place in the Conference League. The top-3 ranking also included Serhiy Shyshchenko (“Obolon”, which defeated “Left Bank” 1:0 and secured its place in the UPL) and Ruslan Kostyshyn (“Kolos”, which drew with “Dynamo” — 1:1).
The title of the best player of the 30th round was won by the hero of Zhytomyr’s “Polissya”, Facundo Batista, whose goal in the match against “Kryvbas” brought his team a draw and a ticket to the Conference League. Just slightly behind him was one of the heroes of the victory over “Karpaty”, Pylyp Budkivskyi (“Zorya”) — the author of two assists. The top-5 also included Oleksandr Saputin (“Zorya”), Vitaliy Hrusha (“Obolon”), and Yegor Tverdokhlib (“Kryvbas”).
The team of the 30th round looked as follows: Saputin (“Zorya”), Vladua (“Kolos”), Jordan (“Zorya”), Malish (“Inhulets”), Stasyuk (“Obolon”), Hrusha (“Obolon”), Pikhalenok(“Dynamo”), Tverdokhlib (“Kryvbas”), Michin (“Zorya”), Slesar (“Zorya”), Batista (“Polissya”).
