The goalkeeper of Zhytomyr’s Polesie Evgeny Volynets summarized his team’s performance in the Ukrainian Championship for the 2024/25 season: fourth place and a ticket to the Conference League for the next season.

We fulfilled the minimum that we could achieve. Of course, if I could go back, I would want more. But the season was so unstable that fourth place now is a success that gives us the right to play in European competitions again. Therefore, of course, the emotions are positive. We found ourselves in such a situation that fourth place is a good result for us,” said Volynets in a comment to the press service of “Polesie”.
