Last weekend, the Ukrainian championship for the 2024/25 season concluded. The winner of the tournament, Kyiv’s Dynamo, was ceremoniously awarded gold medals on Saturday, May 24, after the match of the “white-blues” against “Koloss” in the final round of the championship. A day later, the ceremony for the runner-up – “Alexandria” – took place.

The only prizewinner without a ceremony was Donetsk’s Shakhtar, which earned bronze medals in the championship.

According to the regulations, the award ceremony is not a mandatory procedure: the prize-winning club only receives the right to hold such an event. However, Shakhtar decided not to activate this option. The reasons for this decision by the Donetsk club are unknown.
