The former defender of Kyiv’s «Dynamo» and the national team of Ukraine, Vladyslav Vashchuk, who is currently serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, received a new officer rank.

Now the ex-footballer is not a junior lieutenant, but a lieutenant. Vashchuk announced this on his page in the social network Instagram by posting a photo of the lieutenant’s epaulet and a fragment of the order for the awarding of this officer rank.

“I have the honor to be useful to my country! Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!”, - wrote Vashchuk.

It is worth noting that the rank of junior lieutenant was received by Vashchuk exactly a year ago, which he also reported himself.
