The former forward of “Dynamo”, “Milan”, the national team of Ukraine, and now president of UAF Andriy Shevchenko spoke about his visit to Lviv, where the tour of the “Golden Balls” started, which were won by Ukrainians — Oleg Blokhin, Ihor Belanov, and Shevchenko himself.

I thank Oleg Blokhin and Ihor Belanov, who won the highest individual football awards in 1975 and 1986. Generations of Ukrainians grew up on your games, and I am among them!
Our main goal today is to inspire young Ukrainians to engage in football and to show that there is nothing impossible if you truly burn with your passion. That’s why the slogan of the tour is “The next Golden Ball is yours,” Shevchenko wrote on his Facebook page, adding the above photo.
