Dynamo Kyiv graduate Sergiy Lyulka explained the reason why he had to end his professional playing career in 2021.
Sergiy Lyulka— Sergiy, your last professional club was "Metalist". Why were you removed from the roster of the Kharkiv team in August 2021?
— At that time, I didn’t want to bring my problems to the public, so I left quietly.
— Misunderstanding with the management?
— No, no. Everything is fine here. I still maintain good relations with everyone. I am grateful to the club and the management in particular. I no longer played, but the contract was still in effect for another six months, and I was receiving my salary and bonuses all the time.
— But let’s return to your health issues, which forced you to part ways with professional football.
— After the Covid vaccination, I experienced a serious complication. Doctors could not determine the causes for a long time, but when everything became clear, I had to say goodbye to football.
