Defender Manchester United Jonny Evans has announced his retirement from professional football at the end of this season.
Jonny EvansEvans made his debut for United in 2006, playing under Sir Alex Ferguson. The defender has a record of 541 matches and 14 trophies.
According to Tribuna.com, after officially bidding farewell to Evans, Manchester United enters the new season for the first time since the 1973/1974 season without any players who played for the club under Ferguson. Evans was the last representative of the Ferguson era on the pitch.
Recall that Ferguson managed MU from 1986 to 2013. Currently, the manager of the Mancunians is Ruben Amorim.
