The match yesterday between “Metalist 1925” and “Left Bank” was intense and emotionally charged. Unfortunately, in response to the chanting from rival fans, some of our academy students used unpleasant chants with obscene language.
We sincerely apologize for this situation. Although our young athletes were provoked, we acknowledge that such a reaction is unacceptable and does not align with the values we instill in our trainees.
Additional educational work will be carried out in the academy aimed at fostering respect, resilience, and proper behavior both on and off the field.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to the football club “Left Bank” for their hospitality during the war, when we cannot hold matches in our hometown, as they provided us with their arena for matches. We hope to maintain friendly relations between the clubs and fans.
Football should unite, not divide,” the message on the official Telegram channel of “Metalist 1925” states.
