During this camp, the blue-yellows will play two friendly matches: on June 6 against the Morocco U-20 national team, and on the 10th against the USA U-19 national team.
At the beginning of the work, the head coach of the Ukrainians Dmytro Mykhailenko answered questions from the official UAF website.
- Mr. Dmytro, the squad you have chosen for this training camp has not changed much compared to the one in March. What does this indicate?
- For the most part, the squad is the same, but there are still players who got injured and had to stay at home, which is why we, unfortunately, had to make emergency substitutions.
- What goals will you and the team set for yourselves in Spain?
- We will continue to build the game we want to see in the national team, working on principles. Of course, we want to see different options for interaction. We are developing quite serious competition in midfield.
- In this camp, you will play against the teams of Morocco and the USA. Are these good opponents?
- Undoubtedly. The teams of the USA and Morocco are quality teams, so I am confident that friendly matches with these opponents will provide us with a lot of valuable information.
- What do you think about the World Cup draw? Who is the favorite in our group?
- On paper, the favorite looks like the South Korean national team, whose players consistently demonstrate a high level of quality.
- Do you know anything about Paraguay and Panama?
- Yes, I followed the Copa America, saw one game of Paraguay and highlights from other matches. Regarding the Panama national team in the draw, I managed to talk with colleagues from the USA. Nevertheless, we need to start studying each opponent right now, preparing, because all our opponents are quite dangerous.
