The Donetsk “Shakhtar” has approached the decision of where to hold its home matches in the 2025/26 European competitions with differentiation.
Krakovia Stadium in KrakowIt was previously reported that the “miner’s” choice fell on the “Krakovia” stadium in Krakow, however, according to Polish journalist Piotr Slonka, the Donetsk team will only host their opponents at this arena during the main stage of the Europa League / Conference League if they manage to qualify, of course.
The thing is that the next European competition season will begin very early for “Shakhtar”, starting with the 1st qualifying round of the Europa League, which kicks off on July 10. The Ukrainian championship will only start in August. Under these conditions, the management of the Donetsk club has decided that the home matches of the European qualification will be held in close proximity to the location of their preseason training.
