The French PSG is still focused on the transfer of Ukrainian defender Ilya Zabarniy from Bournemouth. Moreover, according to L’Equipe, the Parisians want to finalize this transfer by June 10 to involve the 22-year-old player in the club World Cup.
Ilya ZabarniyAt the same time, RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins reported on his Twitter that Bournemouth has already received an official offer from PSG, and Zabarniy himself allegedly agreed to such a transfer, but almost immediately after that, another journalist, Ben Jacobs, denied this information.
Finally, according to well-known insider Fabrizio Romano, PSG currently has three candidates for the central defender position, and Zabarniy’s name is just on this shortlist, while Bournemouth, after the departure of another center-back, Dean Hayes, wants to keep the Ukrainian for the next season.
We also recall that during the last season, Zabarniy took a clear position regarding his possible transfer to PSG: as long as a Russian (goalkeeper Matvey Safonov) is playing for the Parisians, he will not move to this club.
