Well-known football expert Oleksandr Sopko evaluated the work of Roman Hryhorchuk at LNZ.
Oleksandr Sopko (photo: V. Perehniak)— There wasn’t much work there, he was at the helm of the team for the last ten or so games. In order to work, you need to at least hold a training camp with the players. But something tells me that Roman Hryhorchuk will constantly play the role of a firefighter, being invited by clubs where something urgent needs to be localized and results given. And he is a more systematic coach, he needs time to select people, a roster.
The football that Hryhorchuk offers is quite complex. It’s a game of one-on-one, personal marking, there must be good physical conditioning. Plus he is quite a strict coach, quickly parts ways with those who do not understand his demands. And the adventures he embarks on during the championship only hinder him and lower his authority. He needs a more long-term project where a team can be built methodically. But in our current conditions, this is practically impossible, — said Sopko.
