Ukrainian coach Volodymyr Sharan shared his impressions of the Ukrainian championship season 2024/25.

Before the season began, no one could have predicted that these teams would be relegated. Many teams that set serious goals fought for survival, including “Koloss” and LNZ.
“Karpaty” surprised by finishing sixth, as they could have beaten “Zorya” in the final round and moved up to fourth. But I believe that sixth place is a fair result for “Karpaty”. They lacked stability.
“Polissya” with such a budget and footballers should be playing in European competitions. Kryvbas also has an unclear situation. Financial problems started, relocations, and European competitions did not work in their favor.
“Dynamo” immediately declared its ambitions and rightfully became the champion, there are no questions about it. There is nothing to talk about regarding “Shakhtar”, it’s like a kindergarten. The players mostly played individually, and there were no collective actions. I believe this was a failure of the summer training because the “miners” had a very hard time entering the season and lost many points. Everyone understood that you can play against such a team.
“Oleksandriya” deserves only positivity. The team achieved a historic result and rightfully earned the “silver” because it consistently conducted the season,” said Sharan.
