The Greek “Olympiacos” is not a stranger to Ukrainian fans. In the early 90s of the last century, the club from Piraeus was defended by Hennadiy Lytovchenko. Oleg Blokhin coached the Greek giant. Since the summer of 2025, the forward of the Ukraine national team Roman Yaremchuk has been playing for “Olympiacos”. In the current season, Yaremchuk won the championship and the Greek Cup.
Konstantinos PlishIn addition, the Greek club system has Konstantinos Plish. At the U-19 level, Konstantinos won the Cup and is the champion of this season.
Plish is the son of Ukrainian emigrants, who was born in Greece. He started his career at “Apollon”. At the age of 10, he was spotted by scouts of “Olympiacos” and moved to the Greek giant.
Since the season before last, he has been playing for the youth team of “Olympiacos”. Last summer, “Oli” announced the signing of professional contracts with four talents. Among them was Plish.
In the 2024/25 season, the pirates won the UEFA Youth League. Plish, at the age of 16, was on the team roster but did not play on the field. In the current season, he is already a regular player for the U-19 team. Konstantinos has played 27 matches, scored 3 goals, and made one assist, including 5 matches in the UEFA Youth League. An excellent statistic for 18 years.
Plish plays as a central midfielder. He can play as an attacking midfielder or as an inside forward. When needed, he can cover the position of right-back. Good football intelligence, quick decision-making, excellent ball handling, good physical qualities, decent speed — characterize the Ukrainian talent.
About a year ago, I had the opportunity to talk to Konstantinos. He is a very friendly and goal-oriented guy. Despite being born in Greece, he speaks Ukrainian fluently. His parents, Olga and Ivan, have preserved all traditions. He is an excellent student in school. He has entered a higher educational institution.
He has not yet made it to the Ukraine national team in 2007. The national team of Greece is actively interested in the footballer, but Plish does not have a Greek passport.
