Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher advised the Merseysiders to sign a central striker.
Jamie Carragher, Getty Images“Throughout the season, I haven’t stopped saying that this Liverpool still needs five or six players. I think a left-back will come in and start playing immediately. Frimpong will compete with Conor Bradley. Wirtz will play when he transfers. But I still think we need a central striker. I believe Liverpool will try to do their business quite quickly.
Liverpool needs a left-back, Andy Robertson needs help on his flank, and Kostas Tsimikas will leave.
I don’t know what role Szoboszlai will have and whether he will play on the left after Wirtz arrives. But then we need to address the center forward position, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Liverpool requests a central striker after signing these three,” Carragher is quoted by Sky Sports.
After securing the signing of right-back Jeremy Frimpong from Bayer, Liverpool is now negotiating the transfer of Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkenez and Bayer midfielder Florian Wirtz.
