Ukrainian national team midfielder Oleksandr Zinchenko together with head coach Serhii Rebrov took part in a press conference ahead of the friendly tournament match against Canada.
Oleksandr Zinchenko— Oleksandr, you are expecting two matches against teams that are not very well known to fans — Canada and New Zealand. How well do you already perceive these teams and their style of play?
— Firstly, we have analyzed the Canadian national team, we know that there are a lot of quality players who play in Europe. They are a very good physical team, which effectively utilizes its counterattacks and runs well forward. We have managed to watch and analyze them, and we will discuss New Zealand after the game with Canada.
— Canada invited you to this tournament. What does this invitation mean for you and Ukrainian football?
— It is very pleasant to be here. Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank all of Canada, everyone here who has helped and continues to help Ukrainians. I know that there is a large Ukrainian diaspora here. On behalf of myself and the entire national team, I would like to thank you for the help we received and are receiving in these difficult days for Ukraine.
