The head coach of the Canadian national team, Jesse Marsch, during a joint press conference with the head coach of the Ukrainian national team, Sergey Rebrov, talked about what he expects from the friendly match between these two teams, which will take place today in Toronto.

“Look, there are a few special moments related to the match against Ukraine. There are many Ukrainians in Canada, so tomorrow you, Sergey, will have a lot of support. I think there will be an emotional atmosphere in the stands.
We all recognize the challenges that Sergey, his team, their families, and friends have gone through. So, I think there is a true sense of solidarity—what this match means.
Overall, since I became the head coach, we have only played two of fifteen matches at home. We played well, had a good period, but our fans have not had enough opportunities to really see what this team has become now.
Against two very strong opponents in a mini-tournament—this is a chance for all of us to verify that our teams are progressing. Because we, the national team coaches, do not have time to work with the teams.
This will also be a great experience for the fans—and a good preparation for the atmosphere that will be at the World Cup next summer,” said Marsch.
