The players of the Ukraine U21 national team shared their impressions from the friendly match in Alcorcón against the Spanish team.
Photo: UAFGeorgiy Ermakov: “The coach in the locker room said that he is proud of us and respects us not only for the victory but also for the quality of the game. We understand that this victory is just part of the preparation for Euro. We need to clearly envision what our next step will be.”
Illia Kvasnytsia: “I didn’t expect such a result, especially that I would be able to score. There was a good pass, and I found myself in the right place. After the match, the guys said that I am very lucky. I think that everything will be fine at the European Championship.”
Let us remind you that on June 12, the Ukraine U21 national team under the leadership of Unai Melgosa will play their first match in the final tournament of Euro-2025 (U-21), which will take place in Slovakia. The blue-and-yellow team will face Denmark. Also, in the group stage, Ukrainians will play against Finland (June 15) and the Netherlands (June 18).
