Since 1992, throughout the history of the Ukrainian championship, referees have awarded penalty kicks 2502 times. In total, there are already 555 pairs of teams in whose meetings at least one penalty was awarded.

In the last championship, the author of the 23rd penalty was Dynamo player Andriy Yarmolenko, who successfully scored from the penalty spot against the Odessa club on May 18.
During the last Ukrainian Premier League, the total number of penalties increased in matches between Shakhtar and Dynamo. Kevin from Shakhtar successfully converted a penalty against Dynamo on April 27, and the number of penalties in the meetings between the teams in the UPL increased to 18.
By this metric, the confrontation between Ukrainian giants currently ranks 5-6 in the corresponding register.
