The silver medalist of the 2024/2025 Ukrainian championship «Oleksandriya» has decided on the candidacy of the specialist who will replace their predecessor Ruslan Rotan as head coach. He is well-known in Ukraine due to his lengthy career as a player, and now as a coach, Milan Bartulović.
Serhiy Shishchenko (photo: fc.obolon.ua)Before joining «Oleksandriya», the Croatian successfully worked at Luhansk’s «Zora», which improved its tournament standings under his leadership, finishing in seventh place during the autumn part of the last championship.
According to information from Sport.ua, the main alternative for the role of head coach for the Oleksandriya team was another candidate — the former coach of Kyiv’s «Obolon» Serhiy Shishchenko. However, the matter did not progress to his transfer. The stumbling block in the possible alliance was the financial issue.
As for Bartulović, this specialist had previously worked in Kirovohrad Oblast. During the winter break in the 2019/20 season, he appeared in the squad of «Inhulets», helping them to promote in rank.
