The head coach of Milan’s "Inter", Cristian Kivu commented on the outcome of the match against the Mexican "Monterrey", which took place as part of the 1st round of the club World Championship. The final score of the match was 1:1.
Cristian Kivu— The first half went quite positively. Despite the fact that we were behind, we created plenty of problems for the opponent. In the second half, we slowly controlled the ball, although we again created our moments. We lacked execution.
At times we looked vulnerable in transitional phases, the opponent demonstrated their advantage during this time. We needed to push the ball forward as quickly as possible and combine, but the players gave their all.
It was not easy to counter the low block, which often led to us being caught offside, — said Cristian Kivu.
It should be added that Milan’s "Inter" is in the same group as "River Plate", "Monterrey", and "Urawa". After the 1st round, the "Nerazzurri" are in 2nd place in the group.
