Vice President of "Mariupol" Andriy Sanin reported that the Moscow "Lokomotiv" received a transfer ban from FIFA for refusing to pay compensation for the transfer of defender Mark Mampassi.

"The struggle continues! Friends, you probably saw a few days ago the news that Moscow "Lokomotiv" has finally lost the case against our club regarding Mark Rene Mampassi?

Let me add a bit of background, this case has been ongoing since 2022. The football officials of this Russian Premier League club refused to pay the mandatory fees required by FIFA regulations, which arise when transferring a young footballer.

Russian football is no different from Russian politics, where constant lying, twisting facts, and high-level cynicism are direct instruments of influence. Therefore, the motivation and arguments of the lawyers of "Lokomotiv" were also filled with grotesque "facts" - supposedly "… Mariupol is already a Russian city, it does not fall under the jurisdiction of UAF, the football club "Mariupol" is completely destroyed and does not exist as a "subject of football"…”

But thanks to our legal partners from Germany, Berlin Sport Consulting, we initially won this case in FIFA’s Dispute Resolution Chamber, and then “repelled” the Russian appeal in CAS. And if anyone thinks that the Russians will ever admit their mistakes, they are deeply mistaken.

Therefore, here is the logical result of three years of struggle against the Russian distortion of reality: as of yesterday, Moscow "Lokomotiv" received a ban on registering players.

I also thank all our friends from the Ukrainian Premier League and the Ukrainian Football Association for your support, Mariupol was, is, and will be a glorious Ukrainian city. And I believe that the time will come when FC "Mariupol" will reappear on the football map of Ukraine!" - Sanin wrote on his Facebook page.
