Ukrainian forward of the 1960s-1970s, Stanislav Yevseyenko, reminisced about playing against the best footballer of that time, Oleg Blokhin.
Stanislav Yevseyenko— Once at "Dnipro," Lobanovsky put me in defense for a match against "Dynamo." I was hesitant: "Vasylovych, how will I hold Blokhin?" You put your foot in, and he jumps over and escapes. At that time, he was in such good physical shape that he didn’t notice opponents. You play by the rules, against the rules—doesn’t matter. Oleg dribbles past and runs. If he gains speed, then it’s all over… He scored then…— the veteran recounted.
