On Sunday, June 22, at the NTK “Munkač” field near Mukachevo, located in Transcarpathia, the decisive match of the final tournament of the Children and Youth Football League of Ukraine (CYFL) in the U-14 age category (players born in 2011) took place.

Let us remind you that in the semifinals, Kyiv’s “Dynamo” defeated the capital OФKіP “Polissia” with a score of 2:1, while Donetsk’s “Shakhtar” proved stronger in a penalty shootout against Lviv’s AF “Rukh” (regular time — 0:0). Thus, the final featured a Ukrainian “classic” at the youth team level.
The charges of Oleksandr Tsarenko and Volodymyr Karina managed to take the lead at the end of the first half. After a corner kick, it seemed the “Shakhtar” players had already cleared the ball and neutralized the threat, but Malakanov intercepted it on the edge of the penalty area, turned, and with a powerful shot into the right “nine” put his team ahead — 0:1.
In the second half, despite the fact that the Dynamo players held the initiative, controlled the game, and looked more convincing, the “miners” managed to equalize: after a pass from deep in the field, Raktskyi managed to chip the goalkeeper who came out to intercept him, and restored the advantage — 1:1. Despite the efforts of both teams, the score did not change until the final whistle, so the fate of the winner was decided in a penalty shootout. The players of “Dynamo” executed the penalties better and won with a score of 4:3, while goalkeeper Bakhriiev saved two penalties.
As a result, “Dynamo U-14” became the champion of the CYFL season 2024/2025!
During the award ceremony, the organizers presented individual awards to the players. The best midfielder of the final tournament was recognized as Dynamo player Heorhii Malakanov.
It should be noted that on Monday, June 23, the final tournament of the Children and Youth Football League of Ukraine (CYFL) in the oldest age category U-17 (players born in 2008) will begin. In the semifinals, “Dynamo” will face the team “Munkach” (Mukachevo), the meeting will start at 11:00.
