Journalist and serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andrii Senkiv shared interesting moments from army life. He told how during training some comrades recognized him due to his public activities and were surprised by his presence in a regular training camp.
Andrii Senkiv“Uncle Petro and a few others recognized me. Uncle Petro actually thought that I was sent to the range to see what was happening in the training camps. He said: ‘How did you end up here? And where are Vatsko and Tsyhanyk?’. In their minds, this could not fit. They thought that people who have some audience or publicity, if they serve, do so in some elite training camp. But our camp was the simplest, standard and most ordinary, where public figures cannot end up,” said Senkiv.
