UPL President Yevhen Dykij explained why this summer they decided once again not to hold the match for the Supercup of Ukraine.
Yevhen Dykij (photo: V. Rasner)— The main reason is the war. The Supercup has always been an entertainment holiday, a commercial match. We talked with the teams and made this decision, considering the difficult schedule, logistics, so that our potential European Cup participants could focus more easily on international matches.
The Supercup is about full stands, launching fireworks, and now it is not the time for that. As soon as the war ends, we will hold it immediately. There was even an idea to hold these matches in the cities of Ukraine that have suffered the most from the orc invasion, - quotes Dykij "vZbirna".
