“I don’t think the club world championship will have any impact on the ‘Ballon d’Or’. For me, the three main contenders are Vitinha, Lamine Yamal, and Ousmane Dembele. The Portuguese has a good chance of winning, but it will all depend on the people who vote,” said Figo.
The Ballon d’Or ceremony will take place on September 22. The full list of candidates for the award will be announced on August 7.
