Kudrivka midfielder Dmytro Korkishko shared his expectations for his team’s debut performance in the UPL.

— I can confidently say that the new season will be very interesting — both in the UPL and in the First League. If 4 clubs enter the UPL based on sports principles, they cannot be worse than those that were relegated. None of the teams that entered wants to be relegated back after the first season.
— Even a team from the smallest locality in the history of UPL?
— Yes, Kudrivka is a team from a small village, but if people start saying that we are lifters, they definitely haven’t seen our matches in the First League. If you look at the names, we have a decent team. We will try to prove on the field that we have been mistakenly disregarded.
— Kudrivka will nominally play its home matches in Kyiv, at the “Obolon Arena”. Will it be difficult to compete for a neutral audience?
— In this regard, our club has done a great job. Kudrivka organized local fans, academy students, who supported us in the first playoff match against Vorskla at the “Obolon Arena”. Some clubs can only envy the loyalty of our fans towards our club.
— For those who are not in the know, what kind of football does Kudrivka play?
— We have our own style, by which we were recognized in the First League. Similarly, in the UPL, we will not deviate from our football. We do not kick the ball forward, but try to achieve results with good play.
