The newcomer of Kyiv’s Dynamo, Colombian winger Angel Torres, shared his impressions of the first days of the Austrian training camp and expectations for the new season.
Angel Torres— This is my first training camp with Dynamo, I feel good. We have intense work, I believe it is a good start.
—You joined Dynamo in May, did not participate in matches yet, but you were included in the squad. How was the adaptation period?
— Although I joined the team at the end of last season, I expected to play from the next one. I hope to work well during the pre-season training to help the team in all tournaments it will participate in and to debut soon.
—When you joined Dynamo, there were still two stars on the club’s emblem, but now there are three. Do you feel that you are in the team at a historic time for it?
— Yes, I think I came at a good time and I am very glad about it. I repeat, I hope to help Dynamo and be useful. I believe that three stars look very nice.
—What do you expect from this training camp? In what aspects do you need to improve?
— I hope to improve my physical condition, as I returned to football almost after a year’s break. Also, I want to enhance my dribbling and the quality of my flank passes. I certainly have these qualities, but they can be improved. I work on this at training every day.
— A new season is ahead with performances in the Champions League in particular. What do you expect from the upcoming football year?
— Yes, the start of the new season is approaching, and I am looking forward to it, as I believe all tournaments are very important for us. Of course, we want to qualify and have a good season in the Champions League, as well as to become champions of Ukraine again and to win all trophies overall. We are working hard for this during the summer training camp.
