Al-Shabab announced the appointment of a new head coach. He is personally familiar with Bushchan’s play

The Saudi "Al-Shabab", for which the Ukrainian goalkeeper Georgiy Bushchan plays, announced the appointment of a new head coach.

He is 54-year-old Spanish specialist Imanol Alguacil.

Interestingly, the new coach of "Al-Shabab" is personally familiar with Bushchan’s play: last season he led the Spanish "Real Sociedad", which under his leadership faced Kyiv’s "Dynamo" (3:0) in the group stage of the Europa League in December 2024. In that match, it was indeed Bushchan who guarded the goal of the Ukrainian team.

It is worth noting that the previous head coach of "Al-Shabab", Fatih Terim, left the club in June due to the expiration of his contract.
