The Poltava “Vorskla”, which will now compete in the First League, is set for a complete squad overhaul: of the players who performed for the team last season, only Sergey Myakushko, Ivan Nesterenko, Andrey Batsula, and Artem Chelyadin may remain.

As expected, the new head coach of the Poltava team, Zeljko Ljubenovic, decided to leverage players whose abilities he knows well from his time with “Minai” during the selection process. Currently, a group of “local” players is under review at “Vorskla”, the most well-known of which is Taras Dmitruk, who, by the way, already defended the colors of the Poltava team in 2020.
Among the potential newcomers with experience in the UPL are Yuriy Tlumak from “Rukh”, Daniil Kolesnik from “Koloss-2”, and Bosnian Vladimir Arsic from “Chornomorets”.
However, since the Poltava team has only just begun holding friendlies, the squad situation may change after each of them.
