The cooperation between Poltava’s “Vorskla” and Željko Ljubenović lasted 17 days. On June 24, the Serbian specialist officially took over this team, and already on July 10 left the club.

However, the parties actually disagreed on serious differences regarding the team’s composition.
The management of “Vorskla” insisted on working with young footballers and free agents on low salaries. They wanted the new coach to create a personnel “asset” for the club with the possibility of further sales. Ljubenović himself, who saw his task over the year with “Vorskla” as returning to UPL, insisted on significant transfers and provided a list of desired players. However, the Serbian’s desires were ignored.
