Today the Italian Roma will start preparations for the 2025/26 season. The squad includes 29 players, a list of which was announced the day before by the new head coach of the team, Gian Piero Gasperini.
It is noteworthy that this list includes only one nominal central striker - the Ukrainian Artem Dovbik. Last year, he had competition for the position from Tammy Abraham and Eldor Shomurodov, but they left Roma this summer (the former went on loan to Besiktas, while the latter was loaned by another representative of the Turkish Super League, Basaksehir).
In the provided list of players, among the forwards are also Paulo Dybala, Stefan El Shaarawy, Matias Sule, and Luigi Cherubini (who spent last season on loan at Carrarese from Serie B), but for each of them, the center forward position is not primary. Only Dybala can be considered a forward, but he plays as a withdrawn striker. The other three are nominally wingers.
