The new head coach of Sunderland, which will play in the English Premier League next season, Régis Le Bris officially stated that forward Nazarii Rusin will leave the club during this transfer window, reports Sunderland Echo.
Nazarii RusinThe French specialist said that the club needs restructuring in attack, and some players, including Rusin, are not part of his plans for the next season, despite the fact that according to Transfermarkt, the Dynamo Kyiv graduate has a contract with the club until June 30, 2027, and is valued at one million euros.
“Some players already understand that they will not stay. This is part of the process. We want to strengthen competition, especially in the attacking line,” said Le Bris.
Rusin joined the English club in the summer of 2023 but could not establish himself in the main squad. In the Championship, he played only 15 matches, mostly coming on as a substitute, and scored one goal. Rusin also played on loan at Hajduk. It is likely that the Ukrainian will now move to continental Europe, where there is interest from several clubs in Belgium and Poland.
