39-year-old Brazilian defender Rafinha, famous for his performances with Bayern Munich, Flamengo, Olympiakos, and São Paulo, announced his retirement from professional football.

Rafinha spent only nine years with Bayern Munich (2011−2019), winning 31 trophies — including victory in the Champions League, the Club World Cup, seven German championship titles, four DFB-Pokals, the UEFA Super Cup, and more. He also had successes in Brazil and Greece, and was known within the team as the true soul of the group, with a special sense of humor and closeness to legends like Manuel Neuer.
Currently, Rafinha works as a television expert in Brazil.
