Kiev’s Dynamo, having spent the night in Malta after yesterday’s match against local Hamrun Spartans (3:0) in the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League, will head to Polish Lublin today, where it will prepare for the return match against the Maltese champions, which will take place next Tuesday, July 29.
“Arena Lublin” - the venue for Dynamo’s home European cup matches in the 2025/26 seasonAs a reminder, this season Lublin is the venue for the home European cup matches of Alexander Shovkovskiy’s team: the “white-blue” will host their opponents at the local “Arena Lublin”.
Moreover, even after the return match against “Hamrun Spartans”, the Dynamo players will remain in Lublin for an entire month.
This decision has been made to simplify the team’s transport logistics, as starting from next week, Dynamo will enter a schedule of two matches per week: first in the European cups, and then on the weekends in the Ukrainian championship. In this case, in the first three rounds of the UPL, the “white-blue” will play in the western regions of Ukraine (1st round - in Rivne against “Veres”, 2nd round - in Lviv against “Rukh”, 3rd round - in Ternopil against “Epicenter”), which are not difficult to reach from the border town of Lublin.
Dynamo will return to Kyiv in late August, right after playing its last match of the qualifying stage of the European cups (August 26-28). Almost immediately, the “white-blue” will host their first full home match of the 2025/26 season: within the framework of the 4th round of the Ukrainian championship (the base day of the round is August 30), Dynamo will welcome Zhytomyr’s “Polesie” in the capital.
