On July 15, 2025, former Vice President of the Football Federation of Ukraine Volodymyr Lashkul passed away at the age of 74.

Volodymyr Grygorovych left a significant mark in Ukrainian football. In 1990, he was the initiator of the creation of the International Production and Sports Corporation 'Infopsport,' which, in fact, laid the foundation for sports marketing in Ukraine and promoted the organization and holding of many international competitions in tennis, wrestling, handball, basketball, rhythmic gymnastics, and football.
In 1994, at the initiative of Volodymyr Lashkul, the joint venture 'Ukraine Football International' was established, which built the market for media, image, and commercial rights in football at the national level.
From 2007 to 2012, he led the board of the Ukraine Football International joint-stock company, which organized and conducted various football tournaments, including the Ukrainian Cup and the Ukrainian Super Cup, as well as attracting sponsorship and partnership funds for financing the national teams of Ukraine and ensuring their worthy participation in international competitions.
Volodymyr Lashkul also made a significant contribution to the development of football in his native Cherkasy region. He was the president of the football clubs Dnipro Cherkasy and Cherkashchyna-Academy-2 from Bilozir'ya. He built the Bilozir'ya Village Football Academy, which provides local youth the opportunity to engage in the number one sport in Ukraine.
For a long time, Volodymyr Lashkul held the position of Vice President of the Football Federation of Ukraine. In 2004, he was awarded the title of 'Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine.' In 2006, he was awarded the Order of 'For Merit' of the III degree.
