The head coach of Luhansk Zoria, Viktor Skrypnyk, shared his thoughts on the potential of midfielder Roman Salenko and defender Navin Malysh, whom his club has loaned from Kyiv’s Dynamo.

“Salenko is a good mobile footballer who can play with the ball and against it. He has experience at the international level and in the UPL. He has also spent a lot of time in the training process of Dynamo’s first team. So for us, he is indeed an enhancement.”
“Zoria also loaned the versatile Navin Malysh from Dynamo, who was impressive at Vorskla in the second half of last season. What do you see in him?”
“Right now, there is a trend where we have fewer Ukrainian players. Everyone invites players with UPL experience. We made a proposal as well and are glad that Malysh chose Zoria. He is a player who can play in different positions and will benefit us. I am confident about this.”
“At the training camp with Zoria was Dynamo winger Dmytro Kremchanyn. Will he stay with you?”
“A young player, who scored a lot last season (Kremchanyn scored 23 goals in the U-19 championship of Ukraine 2024/25, becoming the top scorer – ed. note). We are looking at him. For now, he is still with us. We will make a decision by the end of the transfer window.”
“Returning to the topic of a forward for Zoria, are you interested in the talent of Dynamo’s Matviy Ponomarenko, who experts currently suggest lending out to start a full-fledged career at the adult level?”
“I am afraid to name names of those I would like to have on my team. I won’t comment because he is not our player, and I do not have the right to think about others. I like many players. There are plenty of good players in Shakhtar, in Dynamo, in Polissya, in Kryvbas, everywhere. Ponomarenko, whom you mentioned, is also good.”
