The head of the Ukrainian Football Association’s committee on stadiums and security of competitions, Andriy Taran, reported that the new regulations for the Cup of Ukraine provide for relaxations regarding the categories of stadiums.
Photo: uaf.ua— Starting from the 1/2 finals, there must be a third category, from the 1/4 there must be a second category, and before that, starting from the 1/32, there must be a first category. And in the qualifying round, a minimum list of requirements that the club must meet before the first matches is in effect.
Why are we forming lists? We do not know if the military administration will allow the team to play at one or another stadium in their region.
There are cases when a stadium meets the category, is located in a conditionally safe region, but does not get on the list, as was the case last season with the stadium in Ternopil. No club among the UPL participants declared it, accordingly, we do not know how the military administration in the region will regard the holding of home matches, so we do not include it. If we add it to the list, we will allow matches to be held there without asking the military administration, which is wrong, — Taran said.
