The sports director of the Croatian club Osijek, Alen Petrovich, commented on the signing of the contract with the graduate of Kyiv’s Dynamo, midfielder Alexander Petrusenko.
Alen Petrovich“I have been in contact with him since May. There was interest from other serious clubs as well.
With Petrusenko, we have acquired a physically strong, reliable midfielder in duels, which we lacked. I am confident he will quickly adapt, as we did not bring him in for a month but for the next three years. This is a real reinforcement in midfield.
We all know Petrusenko from experience, and he is exactly who we were looking for right now. I have already mentioned that we are not against classic foreigners, but it is still easier for us to attract players without language barriers. In this respect, Petrusenko fits perfectly into such a situation: he played in Croatia for two years earlier (for “Istra 1961,” — ed.), so he will spend less time adapting. Finally, he is familiar with our league, which is also important — I believe this could give us an advantage,” Petrovich’s words are reported by the official website of Osijek.
