The legend of Lviv’s Karpaty, Ihor Khudobyak, spoke about what he expects from tomorrow’s home match of Shakhtar against Besiktas in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers.
Ihor Khudobyak— I expect a very interesting match, as nothing is decided yet in this confrontation. First of all, it is important for the miners not to relax — it is necessary to prepare well for the game, as the opponent is serious and has qualified players in its squad. It is not worth playing to hold the score, we need to strive for victory in the second match. In the first game, I really liked Shakhtar’s performance in the midfield blockade — the team acted compactly, organized, and disciplined, not allowing the opponent to create moments.
For Shakhtar, the key to success is the good form of the Brazilians in attack. They are currently in excellent shape, and it would be wonderful to see their bright play again — they can help the miners advance further. I think in the second match there will not be as much excitement as before the first one. The guys won’t burn out because they have seen they can play, win, and defeat Besiktas. After such a confident game away in Istanbul and the result achieved, it will be a tragedy for Shakhtar if the team does not advance further. My prediction is that the Donetsk club will win by a difference of one goal," said Khudobyak.
