Veteran of Kyiv’s Dynamo Oleksandr Karavaiev shared his impressions from the team’s summer training camps.
Oleksandr Karavaiev— When we play against teams, as they say, below our level, they prepare for us as if it’s their last match. And it’s very hard to play. But it gives us an advantage, although we are under load, and it’s very difficult. Well, that’s the training camp. A lot of fighting. Because you constantly work under fatigue, sometimes you lose your mind, and there are always some scuffles.
You wake up, have two training sessions, and try to rest between them to regain strength, and then you train again. And that’s it, the day is over. You constantly work under load. Yesterday a game, today a game, tomorrow at least just one light training, and half a day to rest — sauna, pool, and massages. No one tells us that everyone has to sleep, because everyone knows their body. But everyone sleeps, because you come in and just shut down. I remember when I was little, I could leave in the morning and come back in the evening, but now it’s not the same, there’s no such energy,” said the Dynamo player in an interview on the YouTube channel "GG.Sport".
