Journalist Mykhailo Spivakovskyi shared his expectations for the battle for medals in the Ukrainian championship for the 2025/2026 season.
Mykhailo Spivakovskyi— “Dynamo” retains not only the squad but also theoretical chances in case of force majeure football-related issues. The second half of the last “classical” match, when the Kyiv team crushed their opponent with a typical Ukrainian rage, is still fresh in memory. But right now, that may not be enough.
Two simplest predictions for the season: “Polissia” — third, “Karpaty” — fourth. The arguments are the strongest coaching staffs in the UPL and a systematic methodology in building the game. Why is “Polissia” ranked higher? If content creators start convincing us again that bad players, who later became good, have turned bad again, the top managers of the “wolves” will simply head to the neighboring supermarket and grab at least Kampush and Bezerra as stocks. “Karpaty” do not have such opportunities, and the standards remain high. Hence, the staff shortage that cannot compete for medals. Moreover, chronic injuries of everyone who came in winter — after the big Lviv merging — said Spivakovskyi.
