Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi is out for an indefinite period due to injury. The 38-year-old player got injured in the second round of the league cup match against Mexican Necaxa (2:2, pen. 5:4).
Lionel MessiThe Argentine injured his hamstring in the eighth minute of the match, after which he tried to continue playing but was forced to be substituted in the 11th minute.
“Leo felt discomfort in his hamstring. We will find out the severity of the injury only tomorrow. Apparently, something is not right with him. It might not be too serious because he didn’t feel pain, but there was still discomfort,” quotes the head coach of Inter Miami Javier Mascherano on ESPN.
