The captain of the French “PSG” Marquinhos has no intention of changing his club despite the potential arrival of Ukrainian defender Illya Zabarnyi from the English “Bournemouth,” who will be competing with him for a place in the starting lineup.
According to L’Equipe, the 31-year-old Brazilian could have moved to Saudi Arabia in the summer — he was offered a lucrative contract with a high salary. However, the Parisian captain declined the transfer and decided to stay in the capital of France.
The publication notes that Marquinhos feels ready for competition with the Ukrainian defender and has no intention of simply conceding his place in the team’s starting lineup.
