Atalanta striker Ademola Lookman made a public statement criticizing the club leadership for their unwillingness to let him go to "Inter". The "Nerazzurri" sent an official request for the Nigerian forward for a fee of 45 million euros.

I came here with the hope of helping this special club grow, and together we created memories that will stay with me forever. Winning the Europa League and standing shoulder to shoulder with my teammates that night in Dublin, celebrating with our fans, was one of the most remarkable moments of my career.
In the past, many clubs have approached ‘Atalanta’, and I have always remained loyal. However, I and the club management agreed that now is the right time, and the club clearly stated to me that if a fair offer comes in, they will allow me to transfer.
Despite the fact that I have now received an offer that, in my opinion, corresponds to what was discussed, the club is unfortunately blocking this opportunity for reasons I do not understand.
As a result, after many months of unmet promises and, in my opinion, bad treatment towards me as a person and as a professional footballer, I unfortunately feel that I have no choice but to speak out for what I believe is right, and I feel I have had enough,” Lookman wrote on his Instagram page.
