It has been 11 months since the Ukrainian coach Serhiy Puchkov first led the club from Kyrgyzstan — Muras United (Jalal-Abad).
Serhiy PuchkovAfter he left at the end of the 2024 season, receiving an offer to work with the youth national team (U-20) of this Asian country, his candidacy was reconsidered. A few days ago, Puchkov arrived in Kyrgyzstan, where he immediately began fulfilling his new old duties. As the head coach, he replaced his compatriot Serhiy Popov, who worked at Muras United for just three and a half months.
In his very first match after returning to Kyrgyz football, the 63-year-old specialist saw his team achieve a convincing 4:1 victory over Neftchi (Kochkor-Ata). This victory allowed Muras United to maintain its leading position in the championship, staying ahead of the closest rival — Bars — by two points.
— The task set for the team is to achieve a double — to win the championship and the Kyrgyzstan Cup, — said Puchkov. — Moreover, we are to start in the club cup competition of Asia as the holders of the national cup for the 2024 season. I have been working with the team for just a few days since my return, so the work of implementing these tasks into reality is just beginning for me.
In addition to holding the title of Kyrgyzstan Cup holders, Muras United under Serhiy Puchkov also finished in third place in the national championship for the 2024 season.
